BFF signs contract with 36 female footballers

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has signed central contracts with 36 selected female footballers who are already members of the Elite Women’s Residency Camp continued at the BFF House.

The contract signing took place after a Parents Education Workshop held at the BFF House in Motijheel on Friday.

Parents or other family members of the resident female footballers were invited to the BFF House on the day for the programme where they shared their experiences and opinions with BFF President Kazi Md Salahuddin, BFF Women’s Football Committee chairperson, BFF executive member, SWAFF executive committee member, AFC executive member and AFC representative to the FIFA Council Mahfuza Akter Kiron, National Strategic and Technical Director Paul Thomas Smalley and BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.

BFF President Kazi Salahuddin first thanked the parents and guardians for accepting the Federation’s invitation and congratulated them for the exceptional performances of their daughters which continue to bring unbound glory to the nation.

The president also personally thanked the female footballers for their continuous efforts to develop and represent Bangladesh at the world stage.

He also promised to continue the financial support that the players have been getting from the BFF.

Responding to his observations, the parents also thanked the BFF back for giving their daughters the opportunity to hone their skills and shine on their own.

They also expressed their gratitude for the financial support their daughters have got which helped not only the players but also their family members as well.

The parents also stated that their daughters brought immense pride to them for which they are respected more than ever in their locality.

After the workshop was over, the BFF signed contracts with 36 selected players from the Elite Women’s Residency Camp in three categories.

The one-year contracts have been categorized according to the players’ ability and experience.

The BFF hopes that this workshop will pave the way for better engagement between the players and their families with the BFF which would ultimately result in better performances from the players.
