AFC Women’s Futsal: Bangladesh ready to fight Chinese Taipei

Bangkok: Bangladesh national women’s futsal team is prepared to fight against last group rivals Chinese Taipei on Sunday.

Bangladesh will take to the field knowing that this will be another tough task.

However, Head Coach Golam Rabbani Choton believes that his players can continue to improve in the last group game as well.

“Malaysia and Vietnam were tough teams. They are among the top futsal nations in the world. Chinese Taipei is in the same category. But my players will put in their best effort to compete and give the nation something to cheer about,” said Choton.

“This is still a new format for us. But we’ve gathered some valuable experience in the first two matches. Hopefully, in the last match, we’ll be able to show what we’ve learnt in the previous games,” he added.

Skipper Sabina Khatun reiterated her coach’s words in saying that gathering experience is the main focus of this tournament.

“We’ve learnt exactly where we stand in the Asian futsal arena and that is a valuable experience. We’re trying our best to learn all we can about the game. We’ll try and put our best foot forward in the last match. Pray for us,” said Sabina.

The star striker and her teammates had a physical recovery session on Saturday morning. Then they attended a theoretical session in Hotel Golden Tulip.

The team did warm and match training at 3pm at Thailand-Japan Bangkok Indoor Futsal Stadium.

Bengal girls will square off against Chinese Taipei at 2:30pm (Bangladesh time) at Indoor Stadium Hua Mak in Bangkok, Thailand.
