Sabina-Krishna off to India

Dhaka, March 25: Bangladesh national women’s team players Sabina Khatun and Krishna Rani Sarker left for India on Sunday evening to play in the final round of the Indian Women’s League 2017-18.

The prolific duo left on the 7:20pm flight BG0095 of Bangladesh Biman from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka.

In the women’s franchise football league of India, Sabina and Krishna will play for Tamil Nadu’s Sethu FC.

Sabina and Krishna are scheduled to play in the six games of the final round for Sethu FC on March 26, 28 and 31 and on April 2, 6 and 8 before semifinals of the meet on April 12.

The final of the seven-team fray will be held on April 15.

Notably, Sabina already has the experience of playing abroad while this will be Krishna’s first taste of foreign club football.
