SAFF U15 Women’s Championship: Choton targets SAFF crown

Dhaka, December 12: Bangladesh coach Golam Rabbani Choton set his sights on the title of the SAFF U15 Women’s Championship 2017 that starts in Dhaka from December 17.

The Bangladesh national U15 women’s team coach expressed his intentions at the press conference of SAFF U15 Women’s Championship 2017 held at the BFF House on Tuesday afternoon.

India, Nepal, Bhutan and hosts Bangladesh will participate in the competition which will continue till December 24.

Coach Golam Rabbani Choton sounded very confident about his team. “Bangladesh will be playing in their own yard and will take to the field full of confidence. We believe that we can win the title. I also want to add that the girls want to present an attractive brand of football, we want to make a lasting impression.”

Paul Samlley, the technical director of BFF, said that the team has the power to win the title. “There are 11 players who were in the AFC U17 Championship squad and the team have the confidence, courage and spirit to clinch the title.”

All the matches will be played at Kamlapur Stadium with the match tickets priced at Taka 50.

Bangladesh will be playing their first match against Nepal on December 17, will lock horns with Bhutan on December 19 and wrap up the first phase playing against India on December 21.
