U15 girls in Bhutan for SAFF Championship

Thimpu: Bangladesh U15 women’s national team has reached Bhutanese capital Thimpu to play in the SAFF U15 Women’s Championship 2018. Bangladesh team reached Paro Airport Thimpu in the morning around 11:00am. Representative from Bangladesh embassy in Bhutan and Bhutan Football Federation officials came to the airport to welcome the team to Bhutan. The team then went to Ariya Hotel, Olakha, Thimpu where they will be staying during the whole tournament. In the evening, the players and staff members went to visit tournament venue Changlimithan Football Stadium, Bhutan to get an idea of the conditions. The weather in Bhutan is currently sunny and the temperature is between 17-20 degrees Celsius. The players had their first light practice session at 6:30pm at Changlimithan Football Stadium under floodlight. The management is confident that it would not be too difficult for the players to adapt to the Bhutanese conditions. Bangladesh are the first team are the first to reach Bhutan for the tournament. The Red and Greens will square off against Pakistan in their first match on Thursday, August 9.
