U18 girls get grand reception

Dhaka: The SAFF U18 Women’s Championship 2018 was held from September 28 to October 7 in Bhutan. Bangladesh, along with 5 other South Asian Football Federation nations, only except Sri Lanka, took part in the competition in which Bangladesh emerged as the unbeaten champions of the maiden edition of the tournament. To congratulate the players on their brilliant performance, team’s sponsor WALTON Group organized a grand reception ceremony at the BFF House on Sunday. The reception ceremony by WALTON was held in the conference room of the BFF House in Motijheel, Dhaka at 4:00pm on Sunday, October 14. BFF president Kazi Md Salahuddin, senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, BFF member Amirul Islam Babu, BFF Women’s Football Committee chairperson, BFF executive member, SWAFF ExCo member, AFC executive member and AFC representative to the FIFA Council Mahfuza Akter Kiron and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag were present at the ceremony on behalf of BFF. Senior Operative Director (Sports) of WALTON Group, Iqbal Bin Anwar Don was also present on the occasion. U18 team’s head coach Golam Rabbani Choton and national technical and strategic director Paul Thomas Smalley and the whole team attended the warn reception programme. All the players of the U18 team received refrigerators and the team staff received smartphones from WALTON.
