Dhaka: Newcomers Dhaka City FC, who have been having a good season so far, suffered a shocking 3-0 defeat at the hands of Soccer Club Feni in the Bangladesh Championship League 2018-19 at BSSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, Dhaka on Thursday.
Dhaka City never looked like asserting themselves in the match.
A determined Soccer Club took the lead when Mollik netted the ball in the 23rd minute.
Mollik then doubled the lead in the 63rd minute.
Then it was Mamun who capped off an impressive victory for Soccer Club Feni by scoring in the 79th minute.
Dhaka City missed a glorious chance to overtake Farashganj and occupy the second spot on the table. Soccer Club Feni, on the other hand, stayed in the 10th spot with 15 points from 16 games.
There was no surprise in the other match of the day as Fakirerpool YMC picked up a 1-0 victory against T&TClub, Motijheel.
Jibon scored in the 85th minute to earn three important points for Fakirerpool.
Fakirerpool moved up to the fourth spot with 21 points from 16 games whereas T&T Club, Motijheel stayed at the seventh position with 19 points from 15 games.
