Salahuddin, Honorable Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation Mr. ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Honorable Chairman of the Standing Committee on Sports and Cultural Affairs of Dhaka South City Corporation and Honorable Councilor of Ward No. 21 of Dhaka South City Corporation Mr. Md. Mokaddes Hossain Zahid, Honorable Managing Director of Madhumati Bank Ltd. Mr. Shafiu was present at the press conference organized by Dhaka South City Corporation on the occasion of “Inter Ward Sports Competition-1428” for the first time today, February 4, 2021 at Mayor Hanif Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban. Honorary members of the Dhaka South City Corporation's Standing Committee on Sports and Culture, including ward councilors, officials/employees of the city corporation, and journalists from print, electronic and online media were also present.

The inaugural ceremony of the competition will be held on February 10, 2021 at Bangabandhu National Stadium and the closing ceremony will be held on March 15, 2021. The opening match of cricket will be played at the Outer Stadium on 16 February 2021 and on 15 March 2021 the closing match will be held on. In both cricket and football, BDT. 5 lakh will be given to the champion team and BDT 3 lakh to the runner-up team. Man of the Tournament in Football and Man of the Series in Cricket will be given a financial prize of BDT 20,000.

Cricket will be held at Outer Stadium, Dhupkhola Ground (Eastern Club), Dhaka University Gymnasium Ground, Basabo Alauddin Ground, Basabo Balur Ground, Karim Jute Mill Ground Matches, R Brothers Union Club Ground, Dhaka University Gymnasium Ground, Basabo Alauddin Ground, Government Laboratory School Ground, Kalabagan Sports Club Ground, Matuail Ground, Fazle Rabbi Hall.

Football matches will be held at the ground and Motijheel Government Boys School ground. Madhumati Bank Limited is the Platinum Sponsor and Orion Group is the Gold Sponsor.
