About FIFA Grants

General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Md Abu Nayeem Shohag said, “FIFA Council decided on June 25 to provide monetary assistance of USD 1.5 billion to its 211 members associations under COVID-19 relief plan amid pandemic. We got the official circular (No. 1725) on this decision on July 29. FIFA has allocated USD 1 million for each member association and USD 5,00,000 for women football.  The grant will be given through two installments. The governing body of world football has emphasized on the correct use of grants. It says the money can be used for resuming football, developing the national team, administration, and other footballing activities. We want to help our stakeholders, clubs, DFAs, players, and referees through these grants. FIFA will sit with every member individually, we’ll propose our plans there.”
