AFC GK Level 1 Coaching Course 2019 commences

Dhaka: The AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Coaching Course 2019 has begun. This is the third edition of the course arranged by the Bangladesh Football Federation. The six-day course will end on May 2. As part of its long-term football development plan, Bangladesh Football Federation has arranged the third edition of the six-day long AFC Goalkeepers’ Level 1 Coaching Course. The course has been organized to train better coaches in order to pick out talented goalkeepers. A total of 23 candidates from home and abroad are taking part in the course against a total of 24 available seats. Among the selected candidates, two are from India and Kenya while the rest are from various top-level clubs of the country as well as from district level. Here is the list of the participants- AFC Goalkeeping Level-1 Participants The course features both theory and practical content under AFC guidelines specifically designed to train the goalkeeper coaches to teach basic techniques, plan effective training sessions and understand the role of the goalkeeper coach within the technical department. The course will include roughly 2 days of theoretical coaching and 4 days of practical training as per the requirements of the modern game. AFC Goalkeeping Instructor Dean May is conducting the course. This is third time conducting the course in Bangladesh as he did the same back in 2017 and 2018. Besides, the experienced goalkeeping specialist was also recruited by the BFF for the national men’s teams for a short term just a month back.
