Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) pays homage to late Shri Badal Roy

The funeral of former vice president of Bangladesh Football Federation, Sri Badal Roy was held at the 'Kali Mandir Shoshan ghat' in Sabujbag in the district today.
Sri Badal Roy was a National award recipient in Sports, former player of Bangladesh National Football as well as Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd., Blue of Dhaka University and former director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Sri Badal Roy was suffering from liver cancer also had other different illnesses. While receiving care at the Bangladesh Medical College, He breathed his last breath at the age of 62.
Earlier that day at 12:00 noon, Sri Roy's body was kept at Bangabandhu National Stadium, where BFF officials, sports organizers, relatives, friends, colleagues and loyal supporters paid tribute to this great sportsman by placing wreaths on the coffin. Former BFF vice-president Sri Badal Roy had a major stroke in 2017 and was taken to Singapore for emergency and better health care on the special recommendation of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Since making his debut for the Mohammedan Sporting Club Motijheel in 1977, Sri Badal Roy wore the black and white Mohammedan Sporting Club Exclusive jersey for more than a decade. In several times, he carried the legacy of being the captain of Bangladesh National Football team.
