BFF celebrates 100th Birth Anniversary Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through a function at its premises in BFF House in Motijheel here on March 17.

BFF President Kazi Md Salahuddin inaugurated the ‘Mujib Corner’ at BFF premises as the chief guest of the function.

“Today is the birthday of Bangabandhu; birthday of the Greatest Bengali of all time. The nation will know ‘the direct contact and direct connection’ between us [footballers] and him through this ‘Mujib Corner’ which featuring photographs. The nation will know Bangabandhu’s great love for football through the Mujib Corner and photographs,” the BFF Chief said. 

The federation also arranged Quran Khwani, cake-cutting session and distributed food among poor people on the day.

Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy MP, FIFA Council Member and BFF Women Wing Chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, BFF General Secretary Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, EC Members Md Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir, Md Amirul Islam Babu, Satyajit Das Rupu, Md Elias Hossain, Md Iqbal Hossain, Amit Khan Shuvro, Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Abdur Rahim and representatives from Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Bangladesh Championship League (BCL), Senior Division, Second Division and Third Division football clubs.
