Ctg Abahoni edge past Arambagh

Dhaka, December 14: Chittagong Abahoni consolidated their position at the top of Bangladesh Premier League 2017 table with a solitary-goal victory against Arambagh KS at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.

Visibly weary with the defensive approach of Arambagh, the table toppers had to wait till the 74th minute to break the deadlock. Midfielder Shusanto Tripura headed the all-important goal heading a Zahid Hossain free-kick into the far post net (1-0).

The port city outfit have 42 points from 17 matches while Arambagh who tasted their tenth defeat in 17 matches remain in tenth position with 15 points.
