Dhaka: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated re-elected FIFA Council member Mahfuza Akhter Kiron for her consecutive victories in the AFC Congress.
Sending Kiron a congratulating letter on Thursday, April 11, Gianni Infantino said, “Having now returned t0 Switzerland, I would like to congratulate you again, on behalf of FIFA and myself, on your re—election as member of the FIFA Council for the 2019—23 period, at the 29th AFC Congress 2019, held last Saturday in Kuala Lumpur.
“This is a great honour and a magnificent proof of the confidence of the AFC member associations, recognising your work, experience and expertise, not to mention your human qualities. I wish you every success and satisfaction in fulfilling this new mandate within the FIFA Council,” he added.
Gianni Infantino said that the FIFA and the international football community are looking forward to continuing to rely on Kiron’s skills, knowledge, services and commitment.
“I look forward to seeing you next June in Paris at the next FIFA Council meeting and at the 69’h FIFA Congress to congratulate you again in person,” concluded the FIFA President.
