Footballers Request BFF to Start BPL Soon

Two national booters -- midfielder Sohel Rana and midfielder Md Abdullah requested Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to start the upcoming season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as soon as possible. The players, who have been out of football since the mid of March, are worried about the mental and physical fitness. Sohel and Abdullah sent two individual video to the BFF yesterday.

Sohel said in his massage, “I request BFF to start the league soon as the last edition of BPL called off due to pandemic situation. League is very important for our footballers. It is our bread and butter, our families live on it. It’ll also provide mental satisfaction.”

Abdullah said in his massage, “Our footballers want to get back leagues as soon as possible because we can’t maintain the fitness level doing exercises from home. If league resumes, players will be positive. It’ll also be helpful for our national side. We also request BFF to find a common solution which will be helpful for both sides clubs and players. I request BFF to take a suitable decision for all sides on this issue. If the leagues take loge time to get started, the players will obviously lose their mental and physical fitness. Hopefully, we can improve our fitness level, if the action resumes soon.”

Earlier, Some national booters, who have been staying in Dhaka, met with the president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Md Salahuddin at BFF house in Motijheel on last Tuesday. They discussed on next season of BPL and preparation camp ahead of the upcoming joint qualifiers round two for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023
