Independence Cup: Sk Russel, B. Kings ready for exciting final

Dhaka: The much awaited final of the Walton Independence Cup 2018 will take place on Wednesday, December 26, at 4:30pm the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The tournament that began on December 1 has seen some great matches throughout the month, leading to the final showdown between Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Bashundhara Kings. A pre-final press conference was held at the BFF Conference Room in Dhaka’s Motijheel with players and managers of both the teams on Tuesday, December 25. BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Sheikh Russel KC chief coach AKM Saiful Bari Titu and captain Ashraful Islam Rana and Bashundhara Kings chief coach Oscar William Bruzon Barreras and team players answered to queries from reporters in the press meet. “We will play well and be the champions. We are the favourites in the tournament and the result will be on our side if we play well,” Sheikh Russel KC captain said. “This is the second time we have reached the final. We have to get past the sorrow of Federation Cup final defeat and have to play our best,” Bashundhara Kings coach said. The match will be telecast live on BTV and BFF Facebook.
