Jamie’s men confident about tough second friendly

Bangladesh national team went through a long training session at the SP Football Academy Ground in Thailand capital Bangkok on Friday. Beginning at 1pm (Thai standard time), the practice session continued until 3:30pm. Apart from the team practice, the Bengal boys went to hotel gym to have their individual physical exercises. The players were trained with both attacking and defending set pieces. The coaches tried to make it sure that the players understand the individual roles attributed on them for tomorrow’s match. Besides, the goalkeeping coach worked with his pupils to train them up with some new tactics. After the tiresome practice, the boys returned to hotel and jumped into the swimming pool to have the relaxing recovery session. The national team is now all set for their second practice match against Thai club BG Pathum United FC on Saturday (tomorrow). The match will kick off at 5 pm (Bangladesh standard time). Meanwhile, Bangladesh coaches are now very hopeful about the boys’ performance. However, both the head coach and the assistant coach asked their boys to take the match very seriously. “We are looking forward to tomorrow’s game. There will be a tough test against a very good team… And it is an opportunity for the boys to take it as a real practice before the match against Laos,” said head coach Jamie Day. Assistant Coach Stuart Paul Watkiss said, “Today’s session was an organizational session really. With the practice match tomorrow, we just want to ensure that all the players know the individual role set pieces, attacking set pieces and defending set pieces.”
