Bangladesh Football Federation’s Women Football Committee Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron has been appointed as the Chairperson of the newly formed Women’s Football Committee of Asian Football Confederations.
The AFC on Friday confirmed the news by sending a letter to the BFF. According to the appointment letter, Kiron will be on the position till 2023.
The BFF officials, including President Kazi Salahuddin, Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, congratulated Kiron on her appointment to such a prestigious position.
Kiron, who has been playing a leading role in developing the country’s women’s football, is currently carrying out her duties as a council member in FIFA and an executive committee member at the AFC.
