Muktijoddha beat Rahmatganj 3-2

Dhaka, August 4: Muktijoddha beat Rahmatganj 3-2 to return to the winning ways in the Saif Power Battery Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.

Rahmatganj took the lead in the 15th minute with Saddam Hossain Anny whipping a cross from the left flank and Ismael Bangoura, the Guinean forward headed home (1-0)

Muktijoddha restored the parity in the 22nd minute, midfielder Tanvir Rana curved a cross but Rahmatganj goalie goalkeeper Md Razib lost the grip of the ball and Amzad Ali volleyed home (1-1).

Muktijoddha went ahead in the 26th minute riding on the strike of Iranian midfielder Esian Mohamed Zaki Sarhan headed goal (2-1).

Muktijoddha extends the margin at the dying stage of the first half. Midfielder Nazmul Islam Rasel cut a through-pass for Zaki Sharhan, whose grounder struck into the near post but Egyptian tapped the ball inside the box with is second effort (3-1).

Rahmtaganj reduced the margin in the 63rd minute with Bangoura scoring his second. Midfielder Naimur Rahman Shahed sent a lob to Bangoura headed his second of the match (3-2).
