Police-Farashganj, Uttar Baridhara-Victoria end in stalemates

Dhaka: Both the matches of BCL 2018-19 on Tuesday ended in draws. In the first match of the day, table toppers Police FC drew 1-1 against Farashganj SC. Amirul scored for Police in the 51st minute which was cancelled out by Farashganj’s Rifat only two minutes later. Police remain on top with 26 points from 15 games despite dropping two points whereas Farashganj climbed to second position with 23 points having played a game more. Farashganj are, however, wary as the team is winless in the last seven matches. On the other hand, Uttar Baridhara also drew with Victoria 1-1 in the second match of the day. Uttar Baridhara’s Juel turned from villain to hero within a minute to secure a point for his team. Juel first scored an own goal to give Victoria the lead but he soon redeemed himself by bulging the net at the other end of the filled only a minute later. Uttar Baridhara climb to fourth with 20 points from 15 games with their third draw on the trot whereas Victoria stay at the seventh spot with 19 points from 16 games.
