Dhaka: The second division football league committee held a meeting with the participating clubs in the league at the conference room of Dhaka City Football League Committee on Wednesday.
BFF Executive Member and Dhaka City Football League Committee Chairman Harunur Rashid, BFF General Secretary Abu Naim Sohag, Dhaka City Football League Committee Co-Chairman Alhaj Saleh Uz Zaman Selim, Second Division Football League Committee Chairman Alhaj Sabbir Ahmed and Second Division Football League Committee Secretary Mohidur Rahman Miraj attended the meeting.
The meeting adopted several important decisions unanimously-
1. The transfer window for the Second Division Football League-2019 will be opened from February 25 to March 5.
2. In the last week of March, the matches of the league will be held at Kamalapur Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sipahee Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium.
3. A total of 13 teams will join the league-
Tongi Krira Chakra, Purbachal Parishad, Ajampur Football Club – Uttara, Little Friends Club, City Club, Somaj Kolyan O Krira Sangsad Mugda, East End Club, BG Press S&RC, Shantinagar Club, Dilkusha Sporting Club, BKSP, Khilgaon Football Academy and Gauripur Sporting Club.
4. The top three teams of the second division league-2019 will be promoted to the first division in the next season and the lowest point holder will be downgraded to the third division.
5. Players who participated in BPL, BCL or the first division earlier cannot participate in this league.
