U-15 girls get a grand reception in Jessore

Jessore, January 31: BFF along with the Jessore District Football Association have hosted a grand reception for the SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship 2017 winners in the district Zilla School on Tuesday.

In addition to that, BFF President Kazi Salahuddin and other members of the federation along with invited guests unveiled the logo of the Joy Bangla 1st Division Football League.

District Football Association president Asaduzzaman Mithu delivered the welcoming speech of the ceremony.

The event was presided over by counsellor of the district football association and District Commissioner Md Ashraf Uddin. BFF President Kazi Salahudding was the chief guest of the event and senior vice-president Salam Murshedy, vice president Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP, Tabit Awal, Mohiuddin Babu, executive committee member Amirul Islam Babu, chairman of the BFF Women’s Wing Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, Khulna Division Football Association president Azmal Ahmed Tapan, Swadhin Bangla Football team members Abdul Hakim and Lutfur Rahman were present among others.

BFF Technical and Strategic Director Paul Thomas Smalley and National Football Team’s former player Amit Khan Shuvro were also present among the guests.

Kazi Salahuddin Shared talked about his time as prisoner in the Jessore Prison and commented that Jessore is an important district for many reasons.

“Son of this soil, BFF vice-president Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP, DFA president Asaduzzaman Mithu and others are working heart and soul for the district’s football development. I am hopeful their efforts will not be in vain and more players from the district will participate in national football,” added the BFF president.

Salahudding hoped that other districts will also arrange football competitions like that in Jessore and the country will then have no scarcity of players.
