U15 boys’ residency camp to begin soon

Dhaka: Residency camp of the U15 boys selected from an open trial is set to commence in the upcoming weeks. Notably, the BFF selected 34 players of the under 15 age group after two rounds of an open trial. The selection was made in a bid to form the U15 national team to compete in the upcoming SAFF U15 Championship. The first round of the open trial was held over 3 days at the Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamlapur, Dhaka from June 29 to July 1 when a total of 60 U15 players were selected preliminarily. Then the final selection round of the chosen players was held on July 20 when 34 players were selected for the training camp ahead of SAFF U15 Championship 2018. Now, with the selected players, the BFF plans to arrange a residency camp at Nilphamari district football stadium to groom the young guns for international competition. The Nilphamari stadium has underwent renovation very recently and has the capacity to accommodate more than 300 players for residency at a time along with adequate training facilities. Four coaches and trainers would be sent to the newly renovated Nilphamari stadium to facilitate the best possible preparation of the young talents for the upcoming SAFF U15 Championship 2018. Notably, the SAFF U15 Championship 2018 will be held from October 27 to November 3 in Nepal.
