U15 boys through to SAFF semis beating Nepal 2-1

Kathmandu: Bangladesh U15 national team is off to the semis of the ongoing SAFF U15 Championship 2018 in Nepal. The Red and Greens beat hosts Nepal 2-1 on Monday evening to book their place in the semi-finals as the group champions. Bangladesh took the lead just two minutes after the kick-off through Ibne Ahad Sakil. However, Jaan Limbu got one back for the hosts and teams went into the break on stalemate. Determined to win 3 points, Bangladesh again took the lead in the very first minute after the kick-off thanks to Rajon Howladar. The game got even tighter after the goal and nobody could find any more way past the opponent’s defence leading Bangladesh’s clean sweep of the group stage. Bangladesh go into the semis as the group champions and will play Group B runners-up India on November 1. On the other hand, Nepal will square-off against Group A champions Pakistan in the second semi-final on the same day. The first semi-final between Bangladesh and India will kick-off at the ANFA Complex ground, Kathmandu, Nepal at 10:45am (BDST) on October 1, Thursday.
