U15 boys working on fine-tuning ahead of Maldives clash

Kathmandu: Bangladesh U15 national team is working on finalizing their preparation before their first match of the SAFF U15 Championship 2018. The tournament began on October 25, Thursday but Bangladesh will play their first match against Maldives on October 27, Saturday. Shedding some light on the fixture, coach Mostofa Anowar Parvej said that the team witnessed the first Group A match between Nepal and Maldives and are aware of the threat Maldives can offer. “However, my boys are capable of beating Maldives. I’m confident of starting the campaign with a win,” said Parvej Babu. “There is no injury problem in the team. We cannot wait to take to the field and hit the ground running,” the head coach concluded. Ahead of the match, the team had their final day of practice on Friday. The players had morning walk after breakfast. After jummah prayers, the team had a practice session from 2am to 4am. In the evening, the players and staff had a review meeting followed by match planning. The Bangladesh-Maldives match will kick off at 2:45pm (BDST) on Saturday at the ANFA Complex, Kathmandu, Nepal. The kick off time has been brought forward an hour due to bad visibility in late afternoon caused by heavy fog.
