Doha: Bangladesh U23 national team, currently in Qatar for a training camp, is set to play a friendly match tomorrow. The match against Al-Shahania SC will kick-off at the Alsayliyah club ground Stadium, Doha at 7:00pm Qatar time on Friday. Ahead of the friendly, the squad continues their regular training regime for the 10-day intensive camp. The players have their breakfast at 7:30am. Getting ready for training, the players and staff leave the hotel at 9:00am and reach the practice ground at 10:00am after a one-hour commute. The two-hour training continues from 10am-12pm. Then after getting back to the hotel, the team has breakfast at 1:00pm. After a couple of hours of rest, the players undergo a gym and pool session from 4pm-5pm. The day ends with dinner at 6:30pm. So far, the training sessions have been very fruitful and head coach Jamie Day is working with his colleagues to get his boys ready for the upcoming AFC qualifiers. Physiotherapist Simon Maltby is working with individual players for exclusive care to improve their fitness level and match readiness. Goalkeeping coach Dean May, currently on a four-week contract with the BFF, is also working separately to get the shot stoppers ready for some intensive game time. He is working in collaboration with Briton Jamie to develop the goalkeepers according to the head coach’s philosophy.
