First venue inspection for AFC U16 Women’s Championship qualifiers done

Dhaka: The AFC U16 Women’s Championship 2019 qualifiers will be held at Bir Sreshtha Shahid Sipahi Mohammad Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamlapur in Bangladesh capital Dhaka from September 15-23. As many as 5 teams, including Bangladesh, will take part in Group F of the qualifiers in Dhaka. To ensure that the venue is in its peak condition to host the international tournament, a team of the National Sports Council (NSC) and the BFF visited the stadium at 4:00pm on Monday, July 30. The inspection team consisted of NSC Joint Secretary Md Masud Karim, NSC Director (West and North) Shukkur Ali, BFF Executive Committee member Fazlur Rahman Babul, BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag and several other staff of the NSC and BFF. After completing inspection of the stadium, NSC Joint Secretary Md Masud Karim assured everyone that the player dressing rooms, media facilities, VIP and general gallery renovation, washroom and changing room renovation, supply of necessary materials to the medical room and other renovations of the pitch and the gallery will be completed before the start of the tournament.
