Laos become Bangamata Gold Cup’s first finalist smashing Kyrgyzstan 7-1

Dhaka: Laos girls have smashed their Kyrgyz opponents 7-1 in the first semifinal to through to the final of the first ever Bangamata U19 Women’s International Gold Cup at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday. The Laos girls’ goal festival began at the 9th minute of the game when attacking midfielder Pe scored her first goal. She struck once again at the 21st minute to make the score line 2-0. Before going to the break, Kyrgyz defender Aiturgan hit the ground which made the difference 2-1. After the break, Kyrgyzstan had only to be busy with defending their post as the Laos team hit 5 times in this session. At the 57th minute, Laos forward Vady Inthiya came up with a shining goal. 17 minutes later, midfielder Monthip Sisaketh netted her only goal and the score line became 4-1 with this one. At the 86th minute, Pe broke her long silence scoring her hattrick to become the most valuable player of the match. Just 3 minutes later, Pe netted her fourth and final goal from spot kick. After watching all this, Laos defender Vongsingkham might think that she could score one goal. And she did it at the second minute of the additional time of the match. With this mammoth victory, Laos became the history’s first team to be the finalist of the tournament. They will face one of Bangladesh and Mongolia, which will face each other in the second semifinal on Tuesday.
