Prepared and waiting for first match: Sabina

Biratnagar: Bangladesh national women’s team skipper Sabina Khatun has stated her team is ready and prepared to take on Bhutan in their first match of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019 on March 14 in Biratnagar, Nepal. “We have adjusted very well now to our surroundings, the hotel food and the routine. We understand our responsibilities as members of the Bangladesh national team and look forward to our first game,” said Sabina. Earlier, on Monday night, there was a team building and tournament objective meeting with all the players. Then on Tuesday, the all the players attended a morning training session. The session was focused on the preparations for their first game. The team, staff and officials then went and watched the first game of the Championship between Bhutan and hosts Nepal in which the latter came out on top by three goals to nil. The game was of interest for Bangladesh as their first game is against Bhutan on the 14th March at 3.15pm Bangladesh time.
