U15, U18 talent hunt programme held in Sylhet

Sylhet: Bangladesh Football Federation has started its long-term residential training camp at BFF Football Academy in the capital’s Beraid on March 1. Grassroots U15 and U18 players were invited to attend a talent hunt programme in Sylhet in this regard. Many promising U15 and U18 youngsters from the grass-root level will participate in the training camp. The camp was inaugurated in Habiganj and Sunamganj by District Football Association trainer Jahan-e-Alam Nuri. The Bangladesh Football Federation has launched a long-term residential training camp at the newly formed BFF Football Academy in Dhaka’s Beraid area from March 1, 2019 for players from the U15 and U18 pool. To select players for the academy, the BFF launched a talent hunt programme on Monday, January 28 and 29. On January 28, grassroots U15 and U18 players were invited to attend a talent hunt programme in Chapai Nawabganj district of Rajshahi division. On January 30, the same was done in Thakurgaon, Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban. Later the same was held in Dinajpur. The trials will take place in other districts one by one. The District Football Associations supervised the trials along with BFF authorized trainers and selected potential players for the academy.Aspirants born after January 01, 2004 can participate in U-15 trials while aspirants born after January 1, 2001 can take part for U-18 trials.
