Thimpu: Bangladesh ambassador to Bhutan – Jishnu Roy Chowdhury – hosted a grand reception for the Bangladesh U15 women’s national team to congratulate them for their brilliant performance at the SAFF U15 Women’s Championship 2018.
The Red and Greens lost 1-0 to India in an unlucky final to lose their SAFF crown but their performance caught everyone’s eye; and Jishnu Roy Chowdhury was no different.
Apart from the warm reception ceremony, he also hosted the girls for Sunday’s lunch at his house in Bhutan.
Cabinet Secretary of Bhutan Dasho Kesang Wangdi and Councilor of Bangladesh Embassy in Bhutan Shahbab Ahmed were also present on the occasion along with the players and staff of the U15 team.
The U15 girls will land in Bangladesh at approximately 8:40am on Monday, August 20 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka by a flight of DRUK Airlines from Bhutan.
